Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I don't know about you guys, but with the rain and snow situation we had in Denver, I was a lazy bum. I spent Mother's Day with both of my Grandmothers as well as my mom, which was very much needed. I feel thankful to have such wonderful role models in my life.

This week marks my 4th week of my Apricot Lane outfit series. I have one more outfit to share from this series. I'm sad it's coming to an end, I just love all of their clothes and had so much fun putting these outfits together!

Last week I dressed up this silk black cami with a long pencil skirt. This week, I dressed it down with a pair of palm printed jogger shorts and a fringe kimono. There's a bit of an upscale pajama vibe happening here but I totally love it. This is pretty much what you can find me in during the weekends throughout the summer. I love being comfortable and free to move no matter where the day takes me. Park, pool, or patio this look is perfect and comfy-chic. By pairing these pieces with a statement gladiator sandal and a bold necklace, it turns pieces into an outfit (and takes away the pajama vibe). Bonus: a totally believable "I woke up like this" feel. Sunday brunch anyone?

Apricot Lane Series: Pencil Skirt

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

This week marks part three of my collaboration with Apricot Lane Boutique! This week I'm featuring an amazing pencil skirt & silk cami that can be worn multiple ways.

I instantly fell in love with this skirt. I'm typically not one for long pencil skirts, but something about this skirt just drew me in. I knew a simple top was the way to go with a skirt like this, and found this perfect scalloped silk cami. The best part, due to the shorter length of this this top, it looked great tucked in or left out. This is one of those outfits that perfect for transitioning from work to happy hour. Throw a blazer or a sweater on for work, and once you leave the office, ditch the layering piece add some lipstick and you're good to go! As far as accessorizing this outfit, I didn't want anything too flashy since this skirt was already a statement in and of itself. Apricot Lane has THE BEST dainty necklaces right now, and I felt that was the perfect piece to add.

Longer pencil skirts are definitely making a statement right now and I love that they are so versatile. A silk blouse and statement shoes as shown here definitely dress the skirt up. However, I could totally see this skirt paired with a comfy white tee and converse sneakers for a more casual look. It's all about how you pair things.

My next post will show you how I dressed down this black cami for an outfit perfect for the weekend. Be sure to check it out next week!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

This week marks part two of my collaboration with Apricot Lane Boutique! This week I'm featuring a way to dress up the trending destroyed skinny jean.

When I saw this top at Apricot Lane, I instantly loved it, but was definitely weary of the open back. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE anything with an open back, but I do worry about hanging out, if you know what I mean. This top was perfect though! The manager of Apricot Lane, Kelsy who is also a stylist, convinced me to try this on and I'm so glad that I did. It's not too open or too exposing, and with the conservative front, it's perfect for feeling sexy without being too revealing. With the back being open, this top definitely calls for a fun bra. I paired this top with a bralette in the I love same color family and just love the peek of the lace and color showing in the back.

Distressed skinny jeans are definitely one of those pieces that can be dressed up or down. I love how the shoes and this top dressed up this pair of jeans. The light periwinkle color of this top is perfect for spring. Pastel hues are definitely a trend right now and feel so fresh for the season! I didn't want to detract too much from the color of the top, so I paired it with a simple silver necklace. Easy and done!
