Black & Blue Statement Necklace: Threads Worldwide Cam Necklace - Outfit post with details here

Oh hey there! Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is off to a great start! NYE is almost here! And no, I still don't have an outfit.

Today I'm sharing two fun necklaces from Threads Worldwide! And, best part, one of them I am giving away! Disclaimer - I only wore the giveaway necklace for these photos, and I promise I don't have cooties.

Threads Worldwide, based in Denver, is a fair trade jewelry company that helps artisan women in developing countries bring their jewelry to market here in the US through a social selling model and online shop. Many of the artisan cooperatives that they work with employ women who are survivors of sex trafficking, deaf, or otherwise struggling from social, economic, and political hardships. By teaching them a skill, jewelry making, paying them fairly, and providing them with a safe workplace, the women are able to emerge from poverty and thrive.

I LOVE companies like this that help employ women. Fashion that does good and gives back makes me so happy.

Both the necklaces pictured above, are all handcrafted with sustainably harvested bullhorn. In Vietnam, after the cow has gone to market, the bullhorn is discarded in stockyards and is an ideal material for jewelry making, as it can be molded and sculpted into different shapes with just heat and water. It's a unique material because the color varies from white to brown to gray and can be dyed easily. Artisans in Vietnam have been making jewelry and goods from bullhorn for hundreds of years, and we're honored to help preserve their cultural tradition.

Other cool random things to note: Bullhorn is way more appropriate and ethical than making jewelry from synthetic materials like plastic, and they also don't hold heat, so they are perfect to wear in the hot summer months and pool-side. Score!

Now for the fun part! I am giving away the Cam necklace to a lucky Sweet & Sauer follower! I absolutely LOVE this piece. Its lightweight and definitely unique. Pair it with a plain top to let the necklace do all the talking. And know that you're wearing something special that helps women.

Here's how to enter to win this necklace:

2. Like my photo sharing giveaway instructions

3. Follow Threads Worldwide on Instagram

That's it! Giveaway ends Saturday 1/2/16 at 8PM MST.

Happy Monday! Ugh the Monday after Christmas is such a bummer. I don't know about you but I'm sad that the holiday's are about to end. Did you have a good Christmas? We spent a lot of time at home and with family - it was perfect. Did Santa bring you anything good??

My pal Lacey, of My Boring Closet, and I shot these fun looks a few weeks ago in collaboration with Denver Street Boutique (one of our favorite local fashion truck boutiques) and it was a ton of fun! Sequin joggers are ALL over the internet and social media right now - it is the time of year after all. But I love it. I'm obsessed with sequins right now! These joggers are super fun for New Years (maybe you're a procrastinator like me and STILL don't have your outfit planned). They're also fun for events or just dressing down with a fun graphic tee. There are plenty of ways to wear these post holiday season - get creative and mix the unexpected items you already have in your closet, like tees or sweaters. I have a look coming up that shows how to dress down a sequin skirt so stay tuned!

I also have a giveaway coming up both this week and next so be sure to follow me on Instagram for all the details!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I got some Christmas shopping done (FINALLY - I'm not even done yet...oops), celebrated the boyfriends birthday which you may have seen on Snapchat (username: mallorysauer), and finished it off with a family Christmas party. Busy weekend, but all fun stuff. I can't believe Christmas is this week already!

Last week I shared with you my new favorite coat from SheIn. This week I'm sharing a dress from them that I think is super fun for the holidays. It's a more simple approach to a holiday party look, but just as fun and chic, in my opinion. And it's a piece that can be worn after the holidays. I love the idea of a long sleeve maxi dress for the cooler months. The slits in the side are super fun and flirty and add a little element of sexy. This piece can be dressed up or down depending on what shoes and jewels you pair it with. I dressed down with one of my FAVORITE pairs of booties at the moment, and this necklace from Threads Worldwide that I'll actually be giving away later this week! One disclaimer about this dress, the website doesn't disclose that a slip is needed so I had find one that worked with the lines of the dress. If you're wondering about the quality or purchase experience with SheIn, check last weeks post.

Hope you have a great rest of your week!
