Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday! I haven't done a Friday Favorites post in a while so I thought I'd bring one back with some things I have been loving lately! Here we go!

1. THE CASERY PHONE CASES

How cute are these cases? I love switching up my phone case from time to time and love all the options The Casery has to offer. They have cases for both iPhone and Samsung and a ton of options to choose from. Direct links for my cases below.

2. GLO MINERALS - TINTED PRIMER

I LOVE trying new makeup products. I might not always know what I'm doing, but I am definitely a makeup junkie. I was excited to try this primer from Glo Minerals because I've loved so many of their products already (I actually use this foundation everyday). This product is super light-weight and evens out your skin tone so your makeup has an even and flawless look. I've also worn alone for days where a full face of makeup isn't necessary, but I still want a little bit of coverage. BONUS! It has SPF30 which is amazing. Sun protection is key, especially for your face. Not only does it help prevent skin cancer (hello, speaking from experience here) but it also keeps your skin looking young. No one wants wrinkles at age 40, am I right?

Also pictured, Glo Minerals Suede Matte Lip Crayon. Love these lip crayons - super moisturizing and the colors are amaze. Plus there is a sharpener in the cap. Jewelry is from Park Lane Jewelry which I've been wearing in a lot of my recent outfit posts. I love everything I've received from them - GREAT quality.

3. PINROSE WILD CHILD PERFUME

I'm kind of picky when it comes to perfume scents, but always looking for fun new ones that might spark my interest. I tried out all of the Pinrose scents and Wild Child was hands down my favorite. It has a floral + vanilla vibe thats light and yummy and perfect for summer. I also love that they have these cute little packs (on the right side) that are perfect for travel. It's a single use little wipe that you can dab (insert dance move here) for a quick scent touch up on the go. The packaging is also super cute, I love the little magnetic box the perfume comes in. And it comes with a witty little fortune! Not pictured, but my fortune said, "Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad." I love cute and fun little things like that, I think they make products all the more special.

That's it for this week! I have some other beauty stuff I've been loving lately and will be sure to share soon for another Friday Favorites. If you have anything you'd like me to try and review, let me know! Have an awesome weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Some of the products were gifted, however all opinions are my own.

Glo Minerals Makeup Review

Hi friends! After a little bit of a hiatus I FINALLY have a new blog post for you! Today I am doing my first beauty post and reviewing some fun things from Glo Minerals!

I received these products from Glo Minerals a little over a month ago, and wanted to make sure I spent some time using all the products before giving a review. See below for each product, the steps I took, and my thoughts on each product.

First, a little information about Glo:

Good stuff, right?

The first product I used was their Luxe Liquid Foundation SPF 15. Now let me preface, I have very oily skin, so luxe foundations don't typically get along with my skin type. However, I've been wanting to try a luxe foundation because I love the dewy effect they give. I was excited to try this one because it has SPF 15. Knowing that my oily skin would have trouble with this foundation, I prepped my skin with a mattifying primer.

I used the Glo Minerals Luxe Foundation Brush to apply a nickel-size amount of foundation all over the face. After using this foundation for a while I can tell you, a little goes a long way.

I use the brush to stipple the foundation all over the face and make sure it's all blended.

Next, I used the Luxe Liquid Bright Concealer. This little guy doubles as a highlight and a concealer. Score! I'm definitely a highlight/contour junkie so this product is a home run for me. A couple clicks and you're ready to go! I draw three little lines underneath my eyes and dab with my finger to blend underneath my eyes.

Did I already mention that my skin is oily? Well it is. On top of using a mattifying primer, I set the foundation with the Glo Minerals Loose Matte Finishing Powder. Between this powder and the primer, my skin was able to handle this foundation and still have that dewy look I was after.

Using the Glo Minerals Luxe Setting Powder Brush, I swirled the brush in the powder, tapped off the excess and dusted all over the place.

Now moving on to the eyes. I used the Metallic Smoky Eye kit and let me tell you, I'm in LOVE. The shades of brown are beautiful and definitely make my blue eyes pop. Furthermore, they last all day! No creasing here. Score!

I finished the eye look off with a little bit of black mascara. I currently use this mascara and LOVE it.

A little trick... wait until your mascara is almost dry and push lashes up with your fingers.

Finally, I used the Suede Matte Crayon in color Trademark. This is the perfect 'Kylie Jenner' lip color. AND there is a sharpener in the cap of the lip crayon. How cool is that? I love the creamy feel of this crayon, but you still get that matte effect.

Here is the finished look!

Overall thoughts:

I love this foundation and love how it feels on the skin. Due to my oily skin, it's definitely not a wear every day foundation for me. I have 10+ hour days and need foundation to hold up and stick to my skin. I wear the Glo Minerals Luxe foundation on nights out or special occasions. I love the way these products feel, and they're good for your skin too! Their formulations are award-winning and for good reason. Packed with tons of good stuff (think vitamins, sun protection, etc.) their products aren't too harsh on the face. I've had a ton of fun playing around with different eye looks using the Smoky Eye palette and different lip crayons. I give Glo Minerals an A! I have tons of information if you'd like to know more!
