Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you had a good weekend and your week is off to a good start! Did you do anything fun this weekend? My weekend was jam packed with fashion events and blogger friends. Saturday, I was part of a photoshoot for Patterns & Pops with other wonderful Denver bloggers (stay tuned for the pics!), and Sunday I spent the day at Denver Style Magazine's Summer Service Sampler event. I just love the fashion community in Denver and love connecting with others who enjoy it as much as me.

Today I'm sharing with you a fun new series I'm starting on my blog. Focus - Athleisure. Athleisure is one of my absolute favorite trends because it essentialy combines my two favorite things - fashion and fitness. As a Pure Barre teacher, I spend a ton of time in workout clothes and have super busy on-the-go days. That being said, I need to go about my day looking like a presentable human being - and sometimes that means wearing workout clothes all day.

Layering pieces and accessories are the key to transitioning any workout look to an everyday look. In outfit one, the gym look shows hair up and sweatshirt on. Transition look - tie sweatshirt around waist, take your hair down (I'm a huge fan of messy hair, so work it girl!) with a baseball hat on top, and a cute bag over your shoulder. Done and done.

Look two is a little more exciting. For starters printed leggings are a major trend at the moment and are only gaining speed it seems. Because of these leggings being such a major trend, it's much easier to transition them outside the gym. The gym look is simple; printed leggings, sneakers and a white muscle tee. Transition look - throw on a long slouchy sweater, add a statement necklace and throw on your favorite sandals (mine happen to be Birkenstock these days).

Athleisure is done in so many ways. One way being transitioning gym to lifestyle (as shown), the other dresses down your everyday wear (think dresses, jeans, etc.) with sneakers. More to come on that in my next Athleisure series post!

Want to know a secret? All the clothing items I shared are fun new items coming to Sports Authority this Fall (I've linked items that are available now)! They have two different Private Label yoga lines (Bloom & Aspire) with tons of on-trend pieces that won't break the bank. Check it out!

Do you rock the Athleisure trend? How do you transition your workout clothes outside the gym?

Hey there friends! Hope you're all having a great week so far! I'm currently in San Francisco for work and just loving this city! Be sure to add me on Snapchat (mallorysauer) so you can follow my adventures!

Today I'm sharing this look that is perfect for summer. I'm loving the sport short/jogger short trend right now and think it's just perfect for summer! I was TERRIFIED of high-waisted shorts for the longest time as I thought they would always make me look large (I still sort of am but I'm working through it), but they've actually really grown on me. I've learned it's all about fit. The ones pictured here fit beautifully. Fitted where necessary, loose everywhere else. And pockets? Oh I'm sold! I love that shorts like this are so versatile. They can be dressed up as shown, or dressed down as shown here. Either way they're comfy, yet chic. Bonus: they fall into the athleisure trend that is so hot right now! Spoiler alert: I have some fun posts coming up focused solely on athleisure... Stay tuned!

Denver friends, have you checked out Whorl yet?! Just the cutest boutique with the best selection. The clothing quality is superb and the Whorl team is just amazing. You'll feel right at home the second you walk in the door. Check them out next time you're in the Lohi neighborhood!

What trends are you loving this summer?

P.S. Have you checked out my discounts page? I keep it up to date with all the latest hook ups I get to share with you, my amazing readers! Be sure to let me know if you purchase anything so I can see!

Happy Thursday! This is a fun post for me and seemed fitting for #throwbackthursday. I did a two week Europe trip last September and I've been reminiscing about the trip quite a bit lately. My heart literally aches when I see pictures of Paris or London (like physical pain, sometimes tears) because I just fell so in love with both of those cities and have such special memories from my trip. I wanted to share these pictures from Paris, as well as the story behind them.
My first day in Paris was a nightmare. How is that possible, right? Long story short my hotel was terrifying - like horror movie terrifying. In a panic to find wifi (yes, this place didn't even have wifi) and find myself a new hotel, I met a friend who at the time felt like an angel sent from the heavens. Spoke english, my age, and down to go exploring. We went to the Eiffel Tower and spent time at the park in front of the tower. Enter Alastair Arthur (coolest name ever, right?).
Alastair is a photographer and started speaking to us because he was doing a piece on hats, and my new friend was wearing a hat that worked into Alastair's piece. After we spent time talking I was gushing about Paris Fashion Week (yes, I was in Paris during Fashion Week - swoon) and how I was just dying to have a fashion moment in Paris (think bold lips, bold outfit, cool Paris background), with pictures as a keepsake. Well, Alastair offered to take said photo. Now I was just thinking a quick snap of a few photos on my iPhone and we'll call it a day. Oh but did I get so much more.
The next day I was ready for my fashion moment. Big top knot, check. Obnoxious fur vest, check. Bright pink lip, check. Ready to go! Alastair was kind enough to do a full on photoshoot with me. We met at and took photos at the Louvre, wandered around the Tuileries Garden and ended in front of a fashion show. I was in fashion HEAVEN. The photos, the buzz outside the fashion show, the fact that I was in Paris. These are all memories that I will seriously treasure forever and I'm so thankful to Alastair for taking these photos as a memory of this amazing day.
It's crazy how things happen. Had my hotel been tolerable I never would have met my friend, we never would have wandered to the Eiffel Tower that day, and I never would have met Alastair. These are all things I'm so incredibly grateful for and will cherish for the rest of my life. Crazy how fate works, isn't it?

Thank you for letting me gush. Until next week!
