Athleisure Vibes

Tank: Z Supply / Skirt: Aritzia (sold out, similar here) / Shoes: Zara / Necklace: Nordstrom

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!

Today I'm sharing a look that plays off one of my favorite trends - Athleisure. I've talked about this trend before (see here) and I'm still obsessing over it. There are so many ways to wear Athleisure - I think that's why I love it so much.

Now you've also heard me rave about Z Supply tees (see here), so of course I was thrilled when they sent me a tank version of my absolute favorite tshirt. I swear, their tees and tanks get better with age - they wear so well. Anyways. I loved pairing a basic tank with this knit skirt for a casual look. Topped off with these super cool (but not so comfortable, sigh) sneakers, it was the perfect comfortable, yet stylish, look. I just love pairing simple things and adding fun accessories or shoes to make the look a little more exciting. Simple doesn't always mean boring.

I'm such a summer girl and in serious denial that fall is rapidly approaching, but I do think fun looks like this will be great transitions into fall by adding jackets and other cozy layering pieces. But until then, I'll hold on to summer outfits and enjoy the warm weather as much as I can!

Did you see Sweet & Sauer was mentioned in the article 15 Denver Fashion Bloggers You Should Follow on Instagram? It was such an honor to be included, be sure to check out all the other awesome bloggers mentioned as well!

Have a wonderful week, friends! Until next time.

Jumpsuit: 2020Ave / Black Crop: American Apparel / White Tee: American Apparel / Shoes: Qupid

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! I did a whole lot of nothing. Finally cleaned my apartment, did ALL of my laundry, and basically just got my life back in order. You know those kinds of weekends? Much needed.

Today I'm sharing this amazing jumper that I just fell in LOVE with! I recently discovered 2020Ave and love all of their clothes. They have a ton of variety and the prices are great! Sorry bank account.

I decided to style this jumpsuit three different ways. 1. Sassy and sexy for a night out, 2. Slightly more conservative but still sassy enough to feel like a million bucks, and 3. Covered and cool for the office or daytime events. I love how open the back is on this number - perfect for showing off those cute bralettes that we're seeing so much of right now. The black crop top was actually inspired by a look I saw from Kendal Jenner (I can't find the inspiration pic now, of course). It felt like the perfect way to be a little more covered, without feeling extremely frumpy. Finally, the white t-shirt look is something I could wear to work or for a more casual daytime event.

As the temperatures start to get cooler, I'm finding fun ways to transition those summer pieces into my fall wardrobe. Adding an extra layer is the perfect way to do just that.

What fun ways are you transitioning your summer pieces? I'd love to hear below!

P.S. My latest Trendabl article talks about this exact same outfit and the different ways I styled this jumpsuit. Take a look here and be sure to check out my other posts here!

P.S.S. You've heard me talk about Whorl boutique before. Well, they are launching their own private label clothing line and I couldn't be more excited! They're having a fashion show to kick off the event on September 24th, and I can't wait to attend! I'd love to have you join me! To purchase tickets, head to this link and be sure to buy your ticket under Sweet & Sauer so we can hang!

Friday Favorites : Bootay Bag

       Bootay Bag

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you've had a great week!

This week on Friday Favorites, I'm sharing something I just LOVE lately - Bootay Bag! Bootay Bag is a subscription undies service, and let me tell you, they have got this figured out! For $12 a month, you get two pairs of hand picked undies delivered right to your doorstep. How cool is that? You get to customize your style preferences, select different payment options, and there are no penalties for skipping or canceling. Super easy! Plus, who doesn't like fun little surprises in the mail every month!

I don't know about you guys, but I spend way more time thinking about and spending money on outfits than undies, and Bootay Bag will take care of that for you - making sure your undie game is always on point (thanks gals!) Bootay Bag will help you build up a sweet little undies wardrobe in no time.

The team at Bootay Bag have done this subscription service right, and it shows. The packaging, the undie selections, and the customer service is all on point. The BB girls are pretty rad, in my opinion.

Finally, if they weren't already cool enough, if you snap a pic of your Bootay Bag and share on social media tagging Bootay Bag, #undermatters and #getnaked, they will donate to the Melanoma Research Foundation - something close to my heart. A company that's cool and gives back? You know it has my stamp of approval.

Have a great weekend!

P.S. If you've been following me on Snapchat (mallorysauer) you know that my hair is STILL CURLED from Saturday (same curls shown in top photo). Scouts honor I haven't touched it up. Also I just gave away that I haven't washed my hair all week, but whatever. That's why dry shampoo is for! There are two reasons my hair has stay curled and I'm linking both below.

  1. Unite Blow & Set Sculpting lotion - this stuff has memory technology (whatever that means) and smells like a dream. All you need to know is your curls will LAST with this stuff. A dime size amount goes a L O N G way. In my experience, high quality hair products are worth it. And this is coming from a girl that used to dye her hair from a box and use only drug store products. Long story short, I learned my lesson the hard way.
  2. Nume Curling Wand - I am obsessed with this baby. It's so easy to use and curls last forever. It gets super hot so please be careful when using. I linked the exact one I use. I know it's a bit pricy (and I am NOT one to spend that much on hair tools) but I will say it's well worth the investment.

If you would like to see more in-depth hair posts showing how I do my hair, products I use, etc. PLEASE let me know!
