Tan Trench Coat

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! It's really starting to cool off in Denver, and I am not a fan. I'll probably start hibernating soon (kind of like I did all weekend). One fun thing I did, though, was attend the Shane Co. Toyland party which celebrated their biggest holiday selection ever. There were some really beautiful pieces! It was a fun night of mingling and playing with jewelry. Perfect way to kick off holiday event season. If you want to check out the collection you can do so here

How cute is this coat? It's a soft suede that feels like butter. It's like wearing a robe. Definitely not a warm coat, though, so save this baby for warmer days. It's a perfect fall or spring layering piece. Pairing with jeans and a white tee really lets the coat stand out. I love longer coats like this paired with jeans and a tee, it's such a simple outfit and the perfect way to wear a longer coat. You can see another example on how I styled a longer coat here

Have a great week friends!

Lace Up Sweater

Hi friends! Hope you're all doing well! You may have seen on my Snapchat (@mallorysauer) or Instastory that my mom and I took a trip to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona for a second opinion for both my Crohn's and Cancer. As far as the melanoma goes, we're in a good spot and pleased with our current treatment plan. It was interesting to hear another doctor's opinion, though. The main purpose of the trip was for my Crohn's. Long story short, their doctor ran some tests and gave her initial thoughts, but would like me to come back in a few weeks for additional testing. The Mayo doctors will talk to my team in Denver and hopefully we'll have a plan soon! Even though I had the ileostomy surgery, I still have the symptoms related to active Crohn's. It's frustrating.

Now for this outfit! Last fall I found that I kept reaching for cute comfy sweaters and I never really had any. I think I wore the same two all season. This year, I've really made a point to find sweaters that are both cute and cozy, and will last. This one, in particular, has been a major favorite that I've been wearing nonstop. On the rare occasion that it's cold here (it was 75 degrees today), I've been throwing on a sweater, my favorite ripped jeans, and a cute pair of booties. So simple and no fuss. This look is super easy to accessorize with a fun purse, cute hat or bold lip.

Open Back Sweater

Happy Wednesday, hope your week is going well! Yesterday I did my first photoshoot post ileostomy surgery, and I'm happy to say it went well! Figuring out how to dress with this bag has been interesting so it was nice to put on real clothes and shoot photos and feel good! In other news, I started watching Grey's Anatomy recently and I'm here to admit that my binge watching level is bordering on unhealthy. How am I just now getting into this show?!

I wanted this sweater SO bad last fall, but was too late and not able to snag one in my size. Thankfully, it's back and was part of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Score! I am obsessed with anything with an open back. It's safe to say I'll be wearing this comfy piece a lot. It's the perfect piece to pair with cute, strappy bralettes. As for these jeans - they're my first pair of AG Jeans and I'm in love. Again, how am I so late to this party?! They fit so nicely and have the perfect amount of stretch. Definitely a brand I will be returning to in the future.

Have a great rest of your week!
