Pink Bomber Jacket

Happy Friday everyone! Gosh it's been so long since I've put a blog post up. I got hit with the nasty cold that's floating around so I've gotten a bit behind. I feel like I'm always talking about being sick, how annoying! I do want to say thank you for all the love and support I received from my last health post. I can't tell you how much it means to me when complete strangers reach out with the kindest and most encouraging words. That love and support makes all of this a tiny bit easier.

Anyway! How cute is this little bomber jacket!? My bestie got it for me for Christmas and I just love it. Bomber jackets are so hot right now and such a fun wardrobe piece. They're easy to throw on over a favorite tshirt with jeans and head out the door. I've said this before on my blog, but when you have simple pieces that make a statement, it makes putting outfits together so much easier. Jeans and a tee is simple - adding a statement jacket that's easy to throw on, instantly takes it up 3 notches. With bombers being so trendy right now, it's easy to find ones with fun prints or colors without spending a ton of money. I've added a ton of fun bombers in the tool below. Pair with your favorite jeans and tee and you're set!

Last thing to gush over is this choker. HOW COOL is it?! It clasps in the back and then has two longer tassels that can be worn in so many different ways. The possibilities are endless. Such a fun jewelry piece so play around with. Again, it's an easy piece to throw on and your outfit is instantly taken up a notch. I'm telling you friends, having simple statement pieces that you can just throw on and add to your basics, like jeans and a tee, makes getting dressed so easy.

I want to hear from you! I have a bunch of ideas for my blog this year as far as content and topic ideas, but if there's anything you want to see please let me know! More health stuff? Less health stuff? Talk to me and let me know!

Love you all!

Long Sweater + OTK Boots

I don't know about you guys but I have been living in sweaters lately. Last fall/winter I kept reaching for comfy and cozy sweaters that, sadly, didn't exist in my closet. I had like 4 sweaters that I kept rotating - made for a boring cold weather wardrobe. This season I really made a point to find soft sweaters that would hold up for multiple seasons and have that perfect cozy winter fit. This one is so comfortable and the oversize fit is perfect for this time of year.

I absolutely LOVE wearing baggy sweaters or tops with leggings and over the knee boots for fall. Not only is the look comfortable, but OTK boots instantly dress up the outfit. I have a couple of pairs of leggings that have a faux leather look and they are perfect for this type of outfit. These ones are absolutely amazing and are so incredibly flattering. In my opinion, OTK boots and a pair of faux leather (or leather looking) leggings are wardrobe staples for the fall - the outfit possibilities are endless. Check out the tool below for some of my current favorite sweaters that check all the boxes - soft, cozy and the perfect fit.

Last but not least, have you seen the holiday gift guides I've created? I have a whole section on my blog dedicated to gift guides right now. I have a few more that I'm going to put out this week - just in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Speaking of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, I'm going to have a list of all the deals happening up on my blog tomorrow evening (hopefully). Think of me as your shopping and gift giving resource! Keep checking back this week as I keep my holiday section updated.

Have a happy Thanksgiving my friends, I'm thankful for all of you!

Lace Up Sweater

Hi friends! Hope you're all doing well! You may have seen on my Snapchat (@mallorysauer) or Instastory that my mom and I took a trip to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona for a second opinion for both my Crohn's and Cancer. As far as the melanoma goes, we're in a good spot and pleased with our current treatment plan. It was interesting to hear another doctor's opinion, though. The main purpose of the trip was for my Crohn's. Long story short, their doctor ran some tests and gave her initial thoughts, but would like me to come back in a few weeks for additional testing. The Mayo doctors will talk to my team in Denver and hopefully we'll have a plan soon! Even though I had the ileostomy surgery, I still have the symptoms related to active Crohn's. It's frustrating.

Now for this outfit! Last fall I found that I kept reaching for cute comfy sweaters and I never really had any. I think I wore the same two all season. This year, I've really made a point to find sweaters that are both cute and cozy, and will last. This one, in particular, has been a major favorite that I've been wearing nonstop. On the rare occasion that it's cold here (it was 75 degrees today), I've been throwing on a sweater, my favorite ripped jeans, and a cute pair of booties. So simple and no fuss. This look is super easy to accessorize with a fun purse, cute hat or bold lip.
