White Sweater

Happy Monday everyone! Holy cow have I been slacking on blog posts lately. I apologize. I have been sick as a dog for the last 4 weeks. It's been a nightmare. 2 ER visits, 1 five-night hospital stay and a whole lot of resting in bed. Being sick is not Crohn's or Cancer related (thank goodness), however because of Crohn's and some of the meds I'm on, my immune system is about as strong as wet toilet paper. It's always been tough for me to fight colds and what not.

Anyway, let's talk about this outfit. White after Labor Day is a total YES in my book. There's something so crisp about white on white in the fall/winter. Pairing big, baggy sweaters with your favorite skinny jeans and booties is the perfect outfit for fall. Unfortunately the sweater I'm wearing is sold out, but I found an identical one in a really pretty camel color (plus some other similar styles) in the tool below.

If you follow me on Snapchat (mallorysauer) then you saw Bear, our new family puppy! He's the cutest little thing. I apologize in advance for the oversnapping of his cuteness. I also posted a picture of him on my Instagram and Twitter.

Last, did you see the article 303 Magazine wrote about me? I sat down with them and talked about my blog and my battle with Crohn's & Cancer. It was a honor to be asked to share my story with them and be featured in their magazine. I really want to make an impact and help others as I fight both of these battles. I love being able to share my story and hope that it helps someone in some way. Direct link to the article here.

That's all for now! Thanks for stopping by!

Easy Long Sweater

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Can you believe it's October already? Holy cow, where did the year go?!

I'm not sure if you guys heard or not (insert lovingly sarcastic tone here because it was ALL over my Instagram), but it's officially fall! While I love fall just as much as the next basic female, I'm sad summer has come to an end. I just didn't get to enjoy enough of it this year! I'll get over it by my next blog post, I promise.

Now that it's fall, it's time to bring on the sweaters and booties and scarves, oh my! Come fall I love to keep my favorite summer tanks in rotation simply by adding a cardigan for layering. This look was essentially my uniform in college and it hasn't failed me yet. I just hate packing up printed tanks or strappy necklines and saying goodbye for the winter. This tank, for example, still allows me to show off my absolute favorite strappy bralette (seriously if you don't own this yet, you need it) that I lived in all summer. The fun part about fall is layering, and getting creative with it! Find fun ways to repurpose or wear your favorite summer pieces with sweaters, jackets, leggings, etc.

This whole look (sans shoes) can be found at Stitch Boutique in Denver. This was my final of 3 fall looks I styled with them (you can catch the other looks here - 1, 2). They get new pieces in constantly and have a really great selection of brands. Check them out at one of their two locations, or on Instagram where they share new updates constantly!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!

White Dress + OTK Boots

Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great start to the week! Personally, I've spent the last 7 days miserably sick in bed with some cold/virus/flu situation, and let me just tell you, it's NOT tight. Note to self, when you have a weak immune system (thank you, Crohn's) be extra careful when traveling. My bad. This better go away ASAP because I have some fun things coming up that I can't wait to share with you!

How cute is this dress + boot combo? It totally plays off the concert tee and knee-high boot look we've been seeing so much of lately. I saw a couple people wearing similar versions of this outfit in New York for fashion week - good sign, right? This is perfect to wear right now when the temps are still warm and tolerable. Then when it gets a bit cooler, add tights and a fur vest and you're set! OTK (over the knee) boots are hands down one of the best shoe investments to make for fall - they are so versatile and go with anything. I love wearing mine with leggings and a baggy sweater!

This is my second of three looks styled with Stitch Boutique in Denver, and definitely my favorite. They have SUCH cute stuff and great quality pieces - definitely check them out if you're in the area. And if you follow them on Instagram, you'll see all their newest pieces!
